A Powerful Display of Rare White Tigers at Feeding Time
Helen | Posted 3 days ago

I would NOT want to be in the way of these Bengal white tigers when they are hungry! Australia-based photographer Birte Person wasn't quite as afraid. With the safety of distance, she was brave enough to capture these stunning shots of the rare animals during feeding time at the Singapore Zoo. The almost extinct white tiger is caused by a rare genetic recessive gene within the Bengal tiger species. The gene produces features including white fur, black stripes, and a pink nose. The few white tigers that still survive are in protective captivity although there have been reports of a handful spotted in the wild.

A moose decided it wanted to join the party when it took a dip in a private swimming pool at a holiday villa. The group of holidaymakers were shocked when they spotted the beast swimming a few lengths of the pool in Redmond, Washington, before relaxing in the shallow end. The creature looked like it was having a whale of a time as the party panicked about how it was going to get out of the pool and more importantly, if they would have the poolside to themselves again.

Hilarious Yoga Dogs!
Helen | Posted 7 days ago
If you love yoga and you can't get enough of dogs, then you'll probably love Yoga Dogs, a book dedicated to some flexible furry creatures. Inspired by a friend’s mastiff that would imitate its master’s morning yoga routine, photographer Daniel Borris made a collection of 45 different dogs and puppies doing human yoga poses. Of course, the dogs weren't trained on how to do the "downward-facing dog" or the "inverted locus" by some kooky teacher, these hilarious photo-manipulations were created with the help of Photoshop.

20 Amazing Examples of Animal Camouflage
Helen | Posted 8 days ago

Survival can become a challenging task in the wild – especially if you’re smaller or slower than your possible predators. This is why many animal species have developed different ways to camouflage themselves throughout the course of evolution. Ways to camouflage differ depending mostly on three factors: the physiology and behavior of the animal, then those of the predator and the environment, in which the animal lives and hunts its food. Blending in with the environment is the most common approach.

Seven Illustrated Lessons We Can All Learn From a Dog
Helen | Posted 10 days ago
According to this series of illustrations by artist Patrick Moberg, life would be much easier if we all took a few quick notes from the behavior of a dog. The artist says, "My family never had a dog when I was younger, so I don't know a whole lot about them, but recently there's been a couple running around the office I work out of. Here's a couple things I've picked up on." Lessons from a Dog is a collection of colorful illustrations that are paired with simple phrases like "Forgive friends who don't have time to play," and "When someone kindly prepares food for you, devour it smiling like it's the best meal you've ever eaten."
